Detailed introduction

Specification of overhead insulated cable

Standard: GB/T14049-2008

Purpose: It is used for overhead power lines with AC rated voltage of 10kV and below.

Use requirements:
1. Long term allowable working temperature of cable conductor:
① Cross linked polyethylene insulated cable shall not exceed 90 ℃.
② High density polyethylene insulated cable shall not exceed 75 ℃.
2. Cable laying temperature shall not be lower than - 20 ℃.
3. Maximum temperature of cable during short circuit (the longest duration shall not exceed 5s):
① Cross linked polyethylene insulation shall not exceed 250 ℃.
② High density polyethylene insulation shall not exceed 150 ℃.
